This painting captures the powerful moment of liberation and the shattering of oppression. At the center, two clenched fists break free from heavy, metallic handcuffs, symbolizing the triumph over systemic injustice and the reclaiming of freedom.
The vibrant bursts of yellow, red, and white radiate from the center, representing the explosive force of resilience and hope.
The title “Handcuff Status” is boldly rendered with a rugged, cracked texture, signifying the struggle and strength it takes to overcome the harsh realities faced by the incarcerated.
Along the right side, the phrase “Breaking the Chains of Injustice” serves as a powerful reminder of our mission to dismantle the barriers that confine and oppress.

Heart of Time
This evocative painting, created by an inmate, portrays a vividly coloured hourglass that captures the viewer’s attention with its striking symbolism and detail.
Encased within the hourglass is a detailed anatomical heart, depicted in rich reds and pinks, from which blood droplets descend through the narrow passage of the hourglass into a pool at the bottom.
The pool forms a crown-like shape, suggesting themes of time, life, and perhaps the fleeting nature of power or legacy.
